Thom’s filmmaking career began in 2016 When we was in High school. He began his career as a commercial director and cinematographer producing campaigns and long form branded content for local brands and artists. Prior to 2016 however, Adam began his interest in Film Making at the age of 10 years old when we was given a video camera for Christmas. Since then, Adam’s love for storytelling and Film has amplified and only grown bigger.
He Began his next portion of his career working alongside Brand Stamp Marketing; a local marketing agency in Lethbridge, AB while at the same time establishing his Film Production company ‘Tomcat Visuals’, a company Adam had the vision of since he was a kid. Today, Tomcat Visuals produces Short Films, Documentaries, Feature Films and much more original content.
In 2019, Adam signed with Goodwork Studios as a Director and DP, where he pitches regularly for commercial campaigns and branded content, continuing to grow his film making career with an amazing team of creatives.
Adam has always been drawn to telling stories of Real people, real topics, and real issues. His father’s passing at the age of 18, was an event that had the biggest impact in shaping his worldview on life today; live each day and make the most of your time on this world on things that matter. His father taught him the beauty of finding purpose in suffering and Adam has used the legacy of his father to further not only his world view, but his creativity as well. The passing of Adam’s father has shaped a creative nature in Adam to tell stories about topics that can show people a better, different, or interesting way of life that viewers can take things from to incorporate into their own lives. Whether thats something as simple as becoming more open minded, finding comfort, or even a solution in an issue they are experiencing in their own life. Storytelling is a powerful tool to help the us move forward in life in a positive direction; a way that transcends all boundaries.
Additionally, Adam is in the process of writing his third short film; WALK; A short film about ALS. Furthermore he is in the process of developing his first feature length documentary about the Lives of people living with ALS today.
Adam still currently resides in his hometown of Lethbridge, AB.
